I ordered the Birria tacos. I'm not sure if they were supposed to come with consume sauce or not but I didn't get any with them so the tacos were a little dry but still delicious, just needed the sauce! The beans and rice on the side were pretty normal for a Mexican restaurant so nothing to complain about there. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The ladies at the counter were great and so was the service. I would visit again.

This is a fun little (and I mean little) spot to grab some no frills Mexican faire. Located on a rather challenging 'triangle' corner which makes it one of those places you SEE it and then realize you are passing it. Parking is super limited, so expect to park on the street and walk a few feet, and maybe have to cross some heavy traffic. Come on, it'll be worth it. The building is an old (again, super tiny) gas station which is why it is situated where it is. There are a several metal tables outside, and even two bar height seating areas along each side of the building. Plus a few small tables inside. Order at the counter, take your number, grab some chips and salsa at the salsa bar (inside), and then go find yourself a table. They will bring your food to you. We came in for the 'Taco Tuesday' special for lunch which truly can't be beat. $1.99 for either seasoned shredded chicken or carnitas. We ordered 3 of each. Tacos were double layered corn street taco tortilla size, with onion and cilantro, some limes to squeeze on them if you like, and a couple radishes finished off the plate. We used some of the salsa on ours...We agreed that both seasoned chicken and the carnitas meats were excellent. The salsas (both green and red) were very good, and not overly spicy. Personally, as lovers of spicy foods, we would have liked them to be more intense. Overall, this is a fantastic place to grab some really good Mexican food for a super affordable price, at a kitschy fun spot.

I work a few blocks away and wanted to try something new walking distance from me. I called ahead to find out what their daily special was and it was a chicken flautas plate I decided to order ahead and pick it up. When I got there my order was ready. The daily special was not too bad for the price it comes with the drink and was pretty filling. The salsas were good.

Staff is always very friendly and the food is super good. If you’re here during the week, ask about their daily special. Today I had a sope with rice and beans. Very good. Their salsa is pretty spicy too, so you know it’s legit.

This is my second time here. I had two quesabirria tacos and I like it. The service was fast. There is a get your own sauce bar then have nachos while I wait for my order.

Just ate lunch at El Rincon in midtown Sacramento and the food was phenomenal!! I tried the barria plate paired with a Michelada of course! Lol Parking is very limited but one can always park on the street and get there with a very short walk. Plus it’s totally worth it, the food is delicious!!! #sacramentoeats #foodie #norcaltreats

I love this little spot, definitely a cute place to visit for lunch. The food was good, the salsa was better. I got carne asada and carnitas for my street tacos, the meat tasted really fresh. The rice and beans were nothing to write home about. The big burrito size was great! Overall, great place to visit, but pricey compared to similar quality Mexican spots in Sacramento.
